Frank Ocean, Azealia Banks, Kendrick Lamar and Usher were just some of the artists who took to the stage to perform at this year's Coachella festival in Indio, California.
20-year old Banks ran through a collection of cuts form her catalogue, including ‘Barbie’, ‘F*ck Up the Fun’, ‘NEEDSUMLUV’, ‘Liquorice’, and her breakout smash hit ‘212’. She also sang ‘Firestarter’ and paid homage to Amy Winehouse with her rendition of ‘Valerie’.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, who has attracted a cult following with his trilogy of EPs, hit the Outdoor Theatre to perform seductive cuts including his cover of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” and Drake’s “Crew Love.”
Festivalgoers went crazy as Usher joined David Guetta during a dance-fuelled set on Saturday night at Coachella. The R&B crooner jumped on top of the DJ booth whilst the French producer spun their smash ’Without You’ as cell phone lights illuminated the Sahara tent.
Kendrick Lamar cooked a storm as he took to the fields as one of the first acts to perform at the three-day festival. Performing with 'Community' actor and rapper Childish Gambino, he performed the remix to 'You Know Me'.
Frank Ocean also performed, but experienced some technical difficulties during his set.
