Chris Brown has pushed back the release date of his next album Fortune by over a month.
The singer was due to release his fifth studio effort on May 8 but took to Twitter yesterday to announce a new July drop date.
"Team Breezy! The official album date for FORTUNE is July 3,2012!!!!!!!!!!!!," Breezy tweeted, sparking an avalanche of disappointed replies from his online followers.
It's the second setback the album has suffered, having already been shelved prior to its original scheduled release in March after Brown was caught up in a wave of bad press following allegations he stole a fan's mobile phone.
The 22-year-old has already dropped three singles from Fortune: 'Till I Die' featuring Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean, 'Sweet Love' and the international chart-topper 'Turn Up the Music.'
Last week Brown announced plans to head back into the studio with Tyga to cut a follow-up to their collaborative mixtape Fan of a Fan.
