Madagascar funnyman Chris Rock will be one of the presenters at Comedy Central's 2012 Comedy Awards.

The comedian will also joined by Maya Rudolph and Tracy Morgan for the annual event. Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are also both up for 'Best Actress' in a film for the hit wedding-themed movie, while the film itself is up for the Best Comedy category.

The annual awards show will be taped in New York City this weekend, and will air on May 6. It honours the best film and TV Shows, stand-ups, actors and directors.

Comedy Central viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favourites in categories including Funniest Person on Twitter and Best Viral Original.
