Queen Latifah has been confirmed to make an appearance at this year's Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Festival.
The 42-year-old actress has been plagued by rumours that she is gay throughout most of her career, and has even been spotted out with several women who were allegedly her girlfriends. While Latifah has never officially come out as gay, she will be standing up for their rights at her first Pride festival.
"From hip to R&B, pop to standards, Queen Latifah is the voice of our generation, and her concert here will be phenomenal," Long Beach Pride co-president Pat Crosby said in a statement.
"For her to make her worldwide Pride debut here in Long Beach is a tremendous testament to the popularity of our celebration and to the strength of our community."
