Lil Wayne shocked the audience at Monica's show earlier this week, when he declared his love for ex-girlfriend Trina while on stage.

The Young Money boss and femcee dated for several months in 2006, but broke up for unspecified reasons. Wayne appeared on stage at Monica's show at club LIV in Miami on Sunday night, and made it clear he still holds a torch for his ex-girlfriend.

"I just want to say if Trina's in here, 'Hey, Trina,'" a seemingly drunk Weezy said into the mic.

When he was interrupted by the host, Weezy added: "Hold up, I wasn't finished talking. I just wanna say, 'Hey, Trina.' I love you and I miss you baby."

Despite Weezy's pleas, Trina didn't make it onto the stage to greet her former lover.

Lil Wayne's declaration of love will only fuel rumours that he and Trina hooked up later that night, despite her being in a relationship with Oklahoma City Thunder star James Harden.

The 'She Will' rapper recently broke up with longtime girlfriend Dhea, after she created a Twitter account and took part in a racy photo shoot for a men's magazine.
