Bow Wow has admitted that he had a hard time being taken seriously by hip hop magazines and featuring on their front covers.

He said that things have improved now, but he still wants to get on the cover of XXL Magazine - which is hip-hop's biggest selling mag.

Bow Wow wrote on his blog: "So today I’m shooting my cover for Murder Dog mag. I'm excited because I remember when it was hard for me to get covers on some of hip-hop magazines. It took a long time to get source cover, but eventually I did. If only i can get XXL, but that’s another story.

“I just say respect the work, and music. At the end of the day it’s all about politics. So all my fans be on the lookout for the cover."
