Keri has written tracks for artists such as Usher, Mary J. Blige, Diddy and Britney Spears and now feels that it is her time to shine.

The singer-songwriter is releasing her debut album, 'In a Perfect World' on September 23. Her album is said to feature some of Hilson's successful friends such as Justin Timberlake and  Timbaland to name a few.

Keri's video 'Energy' is the first single to be taken from her album. When speaking to MTV News, Keri spoke about the concept of the video:

"I spar with my boyfriend at times. It starts really, really good, and as the video plays out, you see how much energy I put into this relationship or how little is reciprocated back to me."
