Jay Z has rejected claims that Timbaland will produce the whole of his upcoming album and has named Kanye as a possible producer depending on whether he can come up with the goods.
“He wants me to do the whole thing this time around,” Timbaland told MTV. “I'mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It'll be a monster! I always say this: You get a first single from me, I'mma get you up to gold. And it's hard to get you up to gold in this day [and age].”
But Jay Z has denied the super producer's plans, branding the claims “premature.”
Jay Z tells Rolling Stone magazine, “I’m a person that works off music. If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction,”
This has 'classic' written all over it!
