Chris Brown hit BET's 106 & Park yesterday to talk about his recent music video directing spree and reveal his desire to one day take on the role of soul pioneer Sam Cooke.
Explaining the idea behind the visuals for his latest single 'Don't Wake Me Up', Brown told the excited audience: "With this video, we wanted to go completely into the dream world."
"A lot of my videos from ‘Turn Up the Music’ and other videos I’m doing now are in a dream state of believing what you want to believe. So that’s what Fortune kinda encompasses. So it’s basically dreaming and accomplishing your dreams."
When asked which movie role he most dreams of starring in, Breezy gave a surprising answer, admitting: "I would love to do the autobiography of Sam Cooke."
Cooke is credited as helping push soul music into the mainstream in the early '60s and paving the way for a host of legends like Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye before his controversial death aged 33.
