Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am has vowed that he's going to put a smile on Cheryl Cole's face after he sees her, which according to him - will be very soon.

As widely reported, will.i.am is particularly fond of Cole after they recorded their hit-song 'Heartbreaker' and he helped her on her debut album. The pair also toured together when Chezza was the BEPs support act earlier this year.

Talking to The Sun, he said: "I'll see her soon. "I want to put that gorgeous smile back on her pretty face."

Cheryl has recently been papped out showing off those infamous dimples while picking up some Starbucks. She's been recovering at home after been severely ill from malaria. It is thought that she picked up the disease while on holiday with her rumoured boyfriend dancer Derek Hough.

But Cole is getting stronger each day, will.i.am said: "Cheryl's incredibly strong-spirited and she's a fighter. "She's making progress and will be back at work shortly. It's her passion."
