Renowned producer Darkchild has revealed in an interview that he is hoping to reveal a new Michael Jackson album which will contain unheard songs.
The producer - whose real names is Rodney Jerkins - said the album will feature songs which he was working on with Jackson before his sudden death last year.
But, he suggested that there is likely to be legal issues that he will have to deal with.
Darkchild told Vlad TV: "I worked with Michael for years, it was a blessing. When I first decided I wanted to be a producer at 11 years old, I wrote on a piece of paper 'one day I'm going to work with Michael Jackson'.
"I was devastated by his death... and we have to preserve his legacy. I'm about to work on an unreleased project that we're talking about doing. It's definitely going to [happen].
"It takes time though, you've got to do a lot of the red tape, but there's definitely stuff to come. I learned a lot from him, I really did."
It was Jerkins who co-produced the King of Pop's last studio album Invincible which was released in 2001.
