Bernie Mac's widow Rhonda McCullough has filed a lawsuit for wrongful death against the late comedian's doctor, according to reports.
The comedian, who starred in Ocean's Eleven alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney, died in August 2008 at the age of 50 because of complications from pneumonia.
Gossip Cop reports that McMullough's lawsuit claims that the late comedian's dermatologist Dr Rene M. Earles didn't pick up that Mac needed emergency treatment for respiratory failure and therefore didn't send him to hospital from his clinic, which eventually led to his death a few weeks later.
McCullough is suing Earles for $50,000.
But Earles told the Chicago Sun-Times that the comedian, who also suffered from the lung disease sarcoidosis, seemed to be sick when he saw him on the visit in question but he waited because he wanted to consult another of the comedian's doctors before he referred him to hospital.
