Nicole Richie reportedly suffered a breakdown recently, but the reality star and daughter of Motown legend Lionel Richie was very confident when debuting her new drastic change.

The 'Simple Life' star and designer, 28, posted a picture of herself on her website, giving her fans the first peek.

She wrote on her website: "Makeover madness!" and then added: "Last night we played Clueless. Andy and George played Cher & Dionne, and I played Tai. aaahhh!! project!"

As you can see, gone are the brown locks as she has opted to go back to blonde and a shorter style.

The star revealed that her looks didn't come from a home-kit like the movie, but she was styled by celebrity hairdressers Andy Lecompte and George Papanikolas
