A lawsuit filed against Kanye West by Marion 'Suge' Knight saw a second mediation session take place last Thursday (26 August), but it has failed to resolve the case, according to reports.

During a party thrown by West in Miami in 2005, Knight was shot in the leg. Despite the shooter not being identified in the case, Knight filed a neglience complaint against the 'Power' rapper.

In court, Knight - the former Death Row Records boss - said that the time needed to recover from the shooting led him to lose potential income.

West testified via telephone at the hearing last week, but the parties failed to reach a resolution, according to E!.

Knight's lawyer, Marc Brumer, has said that if they can't reach an agreement in a reasonable amount of time, he would push for the case to go to trial.
