Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon is still refusing to confirm or deny reports that they are expecting their first child, but he did says that it's a "spiritual" experience for his wife.

In an interview with US Weekly, the America's Got Talent host said: "I think 'superstitious' might be the wrong word.

"I think it's more of a spiritual thing. Like trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can. She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can."

Cannon also added: "She'll talk when she's ready to talk."
