Lionel Richie has apparently suggested that his daughter, Nicole is willing to support Lindsay Lohan through her struggle to get back on top of her game.

The legendary singer, told OK magazine that the troubled actress needs to sort her life out and hang out with a better crowd.

Richie said: "Lindsay needs to change her circle of friends. And Nicole is there for her. Nicole had to get away from that crowd, to get better.

"But I know they are good friends, now that she has kids she has turned into this other person now. She is thinking I don't want this around my kid now. She is protecting something else, something much greater."

I wonder if Nicole Richie knows her father has volunteered her services like this?
