Female rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed that she's scared for Lil Wayne's competition when the Cash Money rapper is released from prison.

The 'Your Love' hitmaker believes that Weezy has had an "epiphany" during his time at Riker's Island in New York where he is currently serving a one-year sentence for gun possession charges.

Lil Wayne is likely to be released in November, and during an interview with Atlanta's V-103 radio station the Harajuku Barbie Nicki Minaj has said that she believes Lil Wayne has had an "epiphany" while behind bars.

Minaj said: "Can you only imagine what he's been holding and what's building up in that brain? I'm afraid for anybody... any of his competition when he gets out, because I just feel like it's going to be monumental."

She also updated fans about his well being. Minaj added: "He's in a great state. When I speak to him, he sounds like he has some sort of clear understanding of everything now, almost like he's had some weird sort of epiphany since he's been there, so I'm sure his stuff is only going to get better."

"He didn't deserve to go in the first place, and it's kind of crazy how much of a void it's been without him.

"We didn't realise Wayne is really the glue that holds [his label] Young Money and Cash Money together, I feel. I'm just very, very thankful that he's finally coming home."
