Unsurprisingly teenage heartthrob and global phenomenon Justin Bieber is up for an MTV VMA award as 'Best Newcomer' for his catchy hit single 'Baby', but his fans aren't risking any chances of Biebs missing out on the award.

Competing artists nominated for the award are set to face extremely stiff competition from Bieber as the award is voted for by the public and Biebs has, arguably, the most loyal and dedicated fans that span the whole globe.

MTV hit the streets outside Bieber's sold out show at Madison Square Garden where fans confirmed that there was no way that anybody else would be walking away with the coveted award as his fans out-weigh all others in numbers and enthusiasm.

One fan said: "Most of the fans that he has are really big fans, so if they vote for him, they'll vote for him every single day."

Other artists nominated for the award include 'Tik Tok' singer Ke$ha and rapper/singer Nicki Minaj, however another fan shot down their hopes at winning, and said: "Nobody stands a chance against him, if they did, I would be so shocked."

The MTV VMAs kick off on the 12th September.
