The legendary singer Stevie Wonder has called for support for a campaign to translate more books for blind readers.
During a meeting with the United Nations' World Intellectual Property Organisation, the 'I Just Called To Say I Love You' singer has asked the group to give access to significant works of science and history to more than 300 million visually impaired citizens.
Wonder also asked for copyrighted books to be translated into Braille and other readable formats for the visually impaired, according to The AFP.
The singer said: "What I would like to do today is launch what I call the 'Declaration of freedom for people with disabilities'.
"It's a call to action, a plan that will empower the independence of people with disabilities by providing them with the tools to learn and grow."
