Nicole Richie is apparently going to marry musician Joel Madden in December, according to reports.

The couple, who have been dogged with rumours of a failing relationship have two children together Harlow, 2, and a son Sparrow, 1, are planning to marry towards the end of this year, according to E! Online.

A source told the website that Lionel Richie's daughter enjoyed a bachelorette party with celebrity friends Christina Aguilera and Samantha Ronson in Cabo, Mexico this weekend after facing scheduling difficulties.

The source also revealed that Richie had not yet found a wedding dress or confirmed the ceremony venue but it is thought that she is considering holding the event at her father's estate in Los Angeles.

A representative for the couple has declined to comment on these rumours.
