Memphis has paid tribute to soul legend Isaac Hayes eight days after his death.
Funk icon Bootsy Collins, actress Anne Archer and leading rights activists Revd. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were among those celebrating the legendary Shaft hitmaker's life at a church in Cordova, Tennessee.
Hayes died at his home on August 10 at the age of 65, doctors has since confirmed that he suffered a stroke.
The singer had just finished filming new movie Soul Men with Bernie Mac and Samuel L Jackson.
