Chris Rock made a pregnant shopper's day when he came to her aid after her water broke in a New Jersey shopping mall. 

The comedian and Everybody Hates Chris creator, was shopping in the Garden State Plaza mall when the women's water broke a few feet away from him, reports US Weekly.

Rock immediately stepped in and helped to keep her calm while the paramedics arrived. 

An eyewitness said: "He was making the crowd and the woman in labour laugh. She recognised who he was immediately and he stayed there until the paramedics took her away."

Now that's a story to tell the grandkids....
