Nicole Richie married her long-term partner Joel Madden at the weekend at her father's Beverly Hills mansion.

The former reality star, who used to be best-friends with Paris Hilton, invited 130 guests that didn't include her former 'Simple Life' co-star.

The couple exchanged rings which were designed by jeweller Neil Lane during their winter-themed ceremony.

Guests included Samantha Ronson, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Gwen Stefani as well as Richie's godfather Quincy Jones.

Khloe, who has known Richie from when she was a kid, tweeted: "I love weddings!"

A wedding guest revealed that the ceremony was officiated by Run DMC's Rev. Run, as they told Usmagazine.com: "Joel and Nicole have looked up to Rev. Run, so they wanted him to officiate.

"They both appreciate his family values and he is an inspiration for both. They both also respect his faith, too."

Another guest at the wedding was a trained elephant called Tai which was played a role in the ceremony.

The newly-weds have reportedly sold their wedding snaps for $100,000 to OK! magazine and will be donating the cash to charity.
