Janelle Monae may been honoured at this year's Black Women In Music pre-Grammy event and took part in a show-stopping performance with Bruno Mars and B.o.B at the prestigious Grammys this year, but that doesn't mean she's going to be slowing down.

The 25 year old singer, who released 'The ArchAndroid' last year, revealed that she wanted to turn her creative and energetic outbursts into music that her fans could appreciate. 

She told MTV: "I'm working on new music now and as soon as the music is done, an album will be submitted, but we're already like 'Let's go'.

"I'm in a very creative space right now, just came off tour with Amy Winehouse, Prince, Stevie Wonder... I'm in a really good, creative space."

Although there is no official release date, Monáe's album is definitely worth waiting for.
