Justin Bieber has finally made his relationship with Selena Gomez official by posing with her on the red carpet.

The couple, who have been denying their romance for months, made their first public outing together last night at the Oscars.

Last month at the Grammy awards Gomez spoke to Access Hollywood about Bieber, as she said: "I love him. He's been in my life a very long time. He's my friend."

She also added: "I think it's awesome people are interested - I don't understand why."

Bieber celebrates his 17th birthday tomorrow (1st March) and perhaps this is the way he wanted to party, as the pair were pictured on the Vanity Fair oscar party in L.A. last night.
