Jay-Z has partnered with the writing duo Stargate to start a new label called StarRoc according to reports.

The Norwegian pairing of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriken have apparently confirmed a deal with Hova and will be working out of Jay's The Mic studio in Manhattan.

Stargate have previously produced the hits 'Irreplaceable' for Beyonce, Rihanna's 'Take A Bow' and 'So Sick' by Ne-Yo.

Jay is yet to confirm the details of the deal.
