LL Cool J is said to be fuming that Jessica Simpson's 'experimental' country album, 'Do You Know' outsold his 'Exit 13' after they both dropped on the same week.

Simpson's album sold 65,000 copies and came in at No.4 in the charts whilst LL's Exit 13 sold 44,000 copies and came in at No.9.

A source close to his label says, “LL is furious, He was so angry at one point that he was beaten by Jess that he actually threatened to quit rap.”

It seems LL didn't mean what he said after all. A rep for LL says “he has no plans to quit now,” and that he’s focusing on celebrating his “sixth consecutive top 10 album in his nearly 25 amazing years in music.”
