50 Cent is to turn his new album, Before I Self-Destruct, into a hard-hitting biopic, which he'll direct and produce.
Inspired by his acting role opposite Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in Righteous Kill, Fiddy will turn his life story into a gritty new film, which will be released to coincide with his new album in December .
He says, "It's not (Prince film) Purple Rain, but it was inspired by the actual music."
And he's confident his film will be nothing like films made by other musicians: "When (movies) portray certain lifestyles they don't show cause and effect, but I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were."
The hard-working rapper plans to write and record a soundtrack for the film, which won't feature tracks from his much-anticipated Before I Self-Destruct album, which will be released on 9 December.
