Nicole Richie has been forced to deny rumours that she is pregnant with her third child and has claimed that it's comments about people's bodies like that that gives people insecurities.

Clearly furious with the reports that have been spread worldwide, the daughter of Lionel Richie, claims that she is not expecting another child with husband Joel Madden.

Richie has instead slammed the reports which base their story on a change in her weight.

In a statement to Gossip Cop, Richie said: "Contrary to recent speculation I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity."

She also added: "To publicly point out a change in anyone's body is mean-spirited and cruel. People's bodies change and change again."

Richie was angry about a few pictures which were posted last week which claimed that she had a "baby bump".
