Before his marriage to Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon was engaged to supermodel Selita Ebanks and despite their relationship not working out, the model reckons that he will be a "phenomenal" dad.

Cannon proposed to Ebanks while on a JumboTron in Times Square in 2007, but after just five months together, their relationship ended.

But the Victoria Secrets model told Ok! magazine why Cannon will be such a good parent. she said: "I think he's going to be phenomenal. He has such a great energy and spirit. He's a really great guy."

Ebanks, 28, grew up in foster care and has claimed that she would like to have children in the future. She said: "Oh, one day. If God blesses me, I'll have 100. If it can hold it in this little belly, I'll have them."
