The Game was forced to pull out of a scheduled performance with Ice Cube at the BET Hip Hop Awards last week because he was taking care of his sister, who had been injured in a drive-by shooting.
The rapper, real name Jayceon Taylor, was due to hit the stage with Ice Cube and soul singer Musiq at the Atlanta, Georgia ceremony on Saturday, but had to skip the show after his sibling, aspiring rapper B-Fly, was involved in the violent incident in Compton, California.
B-Fly escaped serious injury and was only grazed by a bullet in the shooting last week, according to AllHipHop.com.
The 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards aired in the U.S. on the cable channel last night.
