Rapper Bun B has admitted that American artists forget about international hip-hop acts, saying it's important for the legacy of hip hop to acknowledge other artists, especially those from the UK.

Bun B revealed his love for UK acts at New York’s Sneakerpedia launch party, telling The Wrap Up that he owed it to hip hop to take note of the grime and underground scene, which he feels UK acts including Tinie Tempah and Chipmunk excel at.

Speaking about his collaboration with Dizzee Rascal, he said: "When it came to working with Dizzee Rascal, it was very much what we were doing over here and we got how the UK was receiving it and perceiving it. I thought it was important that someone from America acknowledged the UK scene at some level."

The MC continued: "Now, we have a lot more connections with the likes of Giggs, Tinie Tempah and Chipmunk – who are making a big impact over in the UK and people are taking note of that over here now. The problem isn’t the music, it’s the human learning of how to support people to make them number one in the charts and on the radio stations and video channels, it’s all a process."

Bun B, who has worked with the likes of Drake, Jay-Z and Rick Ross added: "Tinie’s been doing well over here, I actually met him in Selfridges (the Louis Vuitton store) over in the UK and he’s a cool guy."
