Tracy Morgan has returned to Nashville to apologise for his homphobic jokes at a show two weeks ago.

The '30 Rock' star has already apologised from his comments, but decided to apologise in person for his remarks.

Morgan issued a joint statement with The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) after the event to apologise for his actions that happened at one of his gigs, in which he said that he would "stab" his own son if he came out as gay.

"I want to apologise to my friends, my family and my fans. I didn't know. I didn't mean it," Morgan said reports The Tennessean. "This is an opportunity in my life to make a difference."

He also added: "From the bottom of my heart, I apologise. To err is human, but to forgive is divine. Thank you for forgiving me."

Kevin Rogers was in the audience, and he originally posted on Facebook about the homophobic rant which led to the backlash. After the conference yesterday, Rogers said: "I believe it was just a huge mistake."
