Cheryl Cole will be celebrating her 28th birthday with a party costing a whopping £20,000 in London tonight.

The former 'X Factor' judge, who has been hiding from the press since her sacking from the US version of the show, has kept the venue secret but has invited her close friends and family.

Cole, who turned 28 yesterday (June 30), sent out an purple and black invite which, according to Now magazine read: "You are invited to celebrate Cheryl's birthday. Friday 1st July. 9pm till late. Venue to be advised. London."

The venue has been undisclosed so that invited guests are not hounded by paparazzi and it has been reported that Cole has sought an injunction against the photographers, banning them from taking pictures of her anywhere that is deemed private.
