Cheryl Cole has reportedly joined Twitter to make sure that her fans know the truth, just days after she reportedly reunited with her ex-husband Ashley Cole at her 28th birthday party.

The 'Promise This' singer has been fairly quiet since her sensational sacking from 'The X Factor USA', but now the singer has decided to join Twitter and has accrued over 70,000 follows without having tweeted once!

Cheryl Cole has joined Twitter, amassing more than 25,000 followers without publishing a single tweet.  Her profile on the site, which has been verified as @cherylcole says: "dont believe everything you read....except what you read here! news and updates direct from Cheryl and her team. (sic)"

Cole partied the night away on Friday night at the Sanderson Hotel in London to celebrate her 28th birthday.

Guests in attendance include The Black Eyed Peas, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Matthew Cole (her former brother-in-law) and it has been reported that her ex-husband Ashley was smuggled into the venue.
