Jamie Foxx was moved to tears when Barack Obama was voted in as U.S. President-elect - because he is convinced the Democrat has brought all African-Americans "responsibility".
Foxx is elated Obama will be the next American leader and pleads with fellow African-Americans to recognise the honour that has been bestowed upon them.
He tells Access Hollywood, "It was absolutely incredible. I'm standing around all dudes and we are breaking out in tears.
“I don't know how people felt but I know how I felt, as far as being an African-American male. I speak now to every African-American male that I see.”
Now we have a responsibility, a huge responsibility to make sure we do the right thing now and to cut out all the madness and silliness. Now we don't have an excuse.
"We can't say it's the man's fault when you are the man.”
And Foxx is keeping 20 January free to witness first-hand Obama's inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C.
He adds, “I'm going to be there. We are going to take the family down and we are going to have a great time.”
