Hip Hop megastar P Diddy has described presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s win of the nomination for the Democtratic party as “one of the greatest and proudest moments of my life.”
Speaking to MTV P Diddy (aka Sean Coombs) said of Obama’s win: "Not just as a black man, but as an American, Senator Obama becoming the Democratic nominee for president is history in the making and proof that we do live in the greatest country in the world!"
Senator Barack Obama’s win over former first lady Hilary Rodham Clinton will propel him into a historical position as the first black nominee for president in US history. He will now go head to head with GOP winner John McCain in November’s general election.
Obama has had good support from the hip hop community, besides P Diddy’s support, he also has on record Jeezy, Nas, Will.I.Am, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, the Game, Jay-Z and 50 Cent.
