Cheryl Cole will not be splitting from Ashley Cole despite rumours that he's been having flings with several women.

The 'Promise This' singer is determined to work at their relationship, even though she's been left feeling humiliated by the recent reports.

Cheryl divorced the Chelsea footballer last year after marrying in 2006, following several allegations that Ashley had been unfaithful.

A source told Heat magazine: "She knew deep down that she and Ashley would get back together and it might have been less trouble if they'd just keep their heads down and stuck it out."

Ashley has warned the former 'X Factor' judge to ignore the reports and insists that any flings he did have were while the pair were separated.

The insider revealed that Ashley said: "Remember, I was a single man. I've been hanging about waiting for you and have been free to do as I wanted.

"I spent four weeks in LA with the lads and 99% of the time I was on my own and celibate. There were a couple of drunken occasions, but they meant nothing and have been highly exaggerated. Don't let it get in the way of us. From the moment we got back together, it's just been us."

The source continued that Cheryl is wary of women around Ashley.

"Cheryl's not leaving Ashley - she knows all about the girls... Of course, it's humiliating to have these stories flooding out and it makes Cheryl feel sick," they said. "It hurts like hell, but she knows what it's like to be with a footballer. There are always what she calls 'leeches', ready to attack."
