JLS star Aston Merrygold made jokes about his height and has claimed that Leona Lewis is too tall for him but Jennifer Lopez is a good candidate to become his new girlfriend.

In a recent interview for More! magazine, comedian Alan Carr gave a few suggestions about possible girlfriends for bachelor Aston.

When asked about fellow 'X Factor' alum Leona, he said: "She's too tall for me."

He also added: "Remember that Yellow Pages advert, where a little boy stands on a pile of books to kiss a girl? That's my life, Alan."

But when asked about newly single Jennifer Lopez, Merrygold perked up and said: "Boom! Yeah!"

While bandmate Jonathan 'JB' Gill, who has a long-term girlfriend, agreed with Aston and said: "She's looking so good right now."

Aston was recently linked to Annie from the new girl group Duchess, something which she recently denied in an exclusive interview with TaleTela.
