Jennifer Lopez has publicly spoken about her split from estranged husband Marc Anthony for the first time, saying that he will always hold a "special place" in her heart.
The 'American Idol' judge and the Latin singer shocked the entertainment world when they announced their split last month, citing it was "amicable." Shortly after, rumours began circulating that the marriage came to an end over Marc's controlling behaviour, and his refusal to let Jennifer wear revealing outfits.
Now, Jen has opened up about the split and says that she will always "respect" her soon-to-be ex-husband.
In an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair, J-Lo said: "I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive."
"He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father or my children."
Despite the end of her seven year marriage, Jennifer says that she still believes in love. "Sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love. It's still my biggest dream."
