‘She Wolf’ star Shakira has begun work planning her eighth studio album, the follow up to 2010’s ‘Sale el Sol (The Sun Comes Out.)’
According to Shakira-media the Latin superstar has been meeting with the likes of Afrojack, Dr Luke, RedOne, Benny Blanco and Max Martin in order to create what underground club DJ Venus X has revealed is a dance-inspired album.
Talking to The Fader, the DJ said: “I'm sending her a lot of hyrbrid-oriented stuff - Turkish reggaaton, a lot of kuduro that sounds like African trance. Hopefully I'll be able to introduce her to things that are working on the dancefloor so she can translate and reinterpret them for universal pop”
Venus X added: "Shakira wants to make dance music. She's always been ahead of the curve. With 'Ojos Asi', she was doing Arabic instrumentals with Spanish vocals."
