Lady Gaga is set to open this year's MTV Video Music Awards ahead of the other stars also performing at the event including Lil Wayne, Adele and Chris Brown.
The 'Judas' singer announced that she will be kicking off the ceremony on August 28 by using a black and white banner at MTV's headquarters in Times Square yesterday (August 18).
In an interview with MTV US, Gaga said: "It means the world to me. I just feel really blessed every day. I have the most amazing fans."
This year's ceremony will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and will be aired on Monday (August 29) on MTV UK.
