R. Kelly believes that in order for Trey Songz to be more successful, he should be "humble" like Chris Brown.
In an interview with Chicago's 107.5 WGCI, Kells was asked what he thinks of Trigga's career and while he believes he has potential to go far, he says that he should be less arrogant. "I know that Trey Songz has the [potential] if he keeps with the hits. He just needs to humble himself a little bit more," he said. "[If he does] he'll definitely be one of the runners-up."
He then went on to compare Trigga to Chris Brown, saying that he should take a leaf out of his book. "Someone like Chris Brown is already there," he admits. "Why? Because he is and always has been a humble guy... I used to lecture [Chris] all the time. I have the utmost respect for him."
Kells also addressed the tension between himself and Trey, but admits that he was not phased by the beef, saying: "I was pretty numb. You know, I'm bullet-proof when it comes to beef. I don't deal with beef - I love steak."
