50 Cent has vowed to stop joking about the alleged altercation between Chris Brown and Rihanna - after seeing a photograph of what appears to be a badly bruised Rihanna.

Brown was charged with making criminal threats following an incident earlier this month  which reportedly left the Umbrella hitmaker needing hospital treatment.

50, real name Curtis Jackson, had been making light of the alleged fight between the pair, even posting an animated video on his website featuring Brown and Rihanna as characters from the video game Street Fighter.

But the Fiddy  has now promised to stop poking fun at the supposed altercation after he was left shocked by a snap on celebrity website TMZ that appears to show Rihanna with heavy bruising on her forehead, a swollen nose and a bloody lip.

He tells MTV.com, "After I saw the photograph, that wasn't funny anymore. I didn't have any information on it. You're just going on what the public actually had. It shifts the whole thing. Even if you're saying you're in a dysfunctional relationship, I understand that.

"There's a point when you're already past a woman fighting you back. You look at (the picture), and it's obviously past that point. There's some issues there that definitely gotta be addressed. Not to take any shots at Chris or Rihanna or take sides in any way, (but) it's really not cool.

“It's not funny anymore, so there will definitely be no more reference to that from me in any way."
