Black Eyed Peas have played their last show in Miami before they begin an indefinite hiatus from recording and releasing new music.
The spectacular show also featured performances from T-Pain, Jason Derulo, Cee-Lo Green, Queen Latifah and Sean Kingston.
Frontman Will.i.am has assured fans that the hiatus is more of a "break" and that they will spend their time off focusing on other ventures – but there is no break up.
The rapper who will release a solo album entitled #willpower next year, said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "When we take breaks, we work on side projects or get our little personal stuff in order to then come back and make beautiful music."
Singer Fergie who is wishing to start a family added: "I’d like to go days without wearing makeup and doing my footwear collection and fragrances, just going where the day takes me."
The singer who had solo success in 2006 with her solo effort The Duchess said: "I've just been touring since 2003 and like anything, things get monotonous and you’re doing the same thing every night."
Taboo plans to spend time with his family, while apl.de.ap will focus on being an ambassador for education in the Philippines.
