X Factor USA rapping sensation Astronomical Kid aka Astro showcased his mic skills at the home of hip-hop on Wednesday night as he performed his first ever headline show in New York City.
Astro, real name Brian Bradley, took to the stage at the Southpaw in Brooklyn alongside special guests The Upper ClassMen, Rich P and Mel Perry in a line-up billed as "the future of hip-hop."
It was the first time the 14-year-old prodigy has performed since being voted off the X Factor six weeks into the finals after creating a huge buzz by writing and performing his own rhymes on the show.
Despite rumours originally claiming Astro was picked up by Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint, it appears his X Factor mentor and Epic records chairman L.A. Reid is putting together a deal to bring him to his own label.
