Tulisa Contostavlos made her mark on Los Angeles yesterday, stepping out into the sunshine with tiny denim shorts.

The X Factor judge looked effortlessly chic in a knitted short-sleeved jumper and blue shorts teamed with the same yellow bag she was spotted carrying at LAX yesterday. Tulisa was all smiles as she walked around in the sunshine with her personal assistant Gareth Varney.

Tulisa appeared to be in good spirits despite the recent news that she has split from boyfriend Fazer after a series of blazing rows. Fazer was expected to act as the main producer of Tulisa's debut solo album, but he pulled away from the project after the split.

She is expected to remain in L.A. for the next few weeks recording on the album with several producers and possible collaborators.
