It's been nine years since the 'Try Again' singer, Aaliyah died after a tragic plane crash.

The R&B singer, who released multiplatinum albums and was just embarking on her film career, left friends and family devastated by the loss.

It's clear that many of those who collaborated with her, such as Missy Elliot, Timbaland and Ginuwine are still mourning the star as Missy recently told MTV US: "If she was still with us, she would still be at the top. Because she always stayed pushing herself to be better."
