Chris Brown: Access Denied To UK

No visa for Breezy fo' sheezy...

I’m guessing that Mr Brown thought that the probation and the community service would be the end of the matter, however last year’s bad behaviour is coming back to haunt him yet again as he has allegedly been refused a visa as a result.

Apart from the inconvenience of not being able to travel, this also means that some of his scheduled UK tour dates have been postponed. Okay, they were postponed, then cancelled and now the tour promoters are recommending that people keep their tickets, probably due to the fact that Breezy has the right to appeal this decision. So go get the tickets out of the bin and tape them back together folks… He may ‘Run It’ by them one more time…

Now, I get that we here in the UK have our own special brand of thugs and could probably do without welcoming any more onto our shores. However, the fact that Brown pleaded guilty and appears to be genuinely repentant in addition to the fact that he has quite a legitimate reason to be here makes me wonder if this was the best decision…

The Home Office issued the following as the reason for not granting the Visa: “We reserve the right to refuse entry to the U.K. to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offence.” I suppose it's fair enough… especially as it’s been alleged that the application was only submitted on June 1st!!

But, I simply don’t see the benefit of upsetting thousands of fans. If he applies for a visa later on in the year, without a concert to perform, then fine, by all means tear up that application, call him up and tell him exactly what he can ‘Kiss Kiss’. The fact of the matter is that this decision is going to cause disruption to more people than Chris Brown and his promoters…

Brown happens to just be another addition to the growing list of bad boy R’n’B/Hip hop stars being denied entry to the UK. Snoop Dogg & Diddy (P Diddy back then) had to cancel a UK tour back in 2007 due to the former being denied his visa.

Worth noting here that Lily Allen was denied her US visa shortly after this – so if you’re planning on doing a US tour this month and have a slightly shady past… Be warned…

It's been a rough old couple of years for Brown’s really hasn’t it…. Still you’d probably still rather be Chris than Gordon though eh!?

Agree or not agree - tell us on TaleTela! Did you get a ticket to see Chris Brown? Are you keeping your ticket?]

Check out our snaps of Chris Brown since his split with RIhanna...
